Meeting on November 19

We had another meeting on Sunday the 19th!

During the meeting we took part in a Spanish lesson conducted by Matt, Adam, and Zach.
Tessa read an email from Ruth saying thank you for the card CBC sent for Victor Hugo's birthday.

The youth also videotaped interviews of Kathleen B, Katy F-N, and Jeff K-C. We asked them questions about the delegations they went on many years ago. It was to hear first hand experiences from those who had already been to El Salvador. We would like to thank Katy F-N, Jeff K-C, and Kathleen B for sharing their stories with us.

We had a special visitor with us at the meeting! Doug A, the pastor at Calvary Baptist in Norristown, joined us and also shared his experiences of growing up in El Salvador. We were very grateful to have him with us!

The Salvador Partners Mission Group is organizing a delegation reunion for Thursday, December 28th for youth who have been to El Salvador (Lucy, Nora, Adam) and youth in the current delegation (Matt, Zach, Tessa, Kelsey). Past members delegations who are now in College (Megan, Sarah, Katie, Annie, Steve, Natalie, Ginny) are invited to attend. Tara from SHARE will be our special guest at this reunion!

Thursday, November 16, 2006

Today is the 17th anniversary of the murder of six Jesuit priests and two women at the UCA (University ofCentral America) in San Salvador. The 2004 CBC Youth Delegation visited the memorial site and rose garden there with several of the youth from Shekina and Shalom.
